Some years back I had the honor of making a king-sized bereavement quilt for a mother made from the clothes of her beloved daughter, who had been brutally murdered. This experience changed me, as I transformed beautiful dresses into a story quilt. Since then I’ve made many bereavement quilts of all sizes and types, from traditional to pictorial. I especially like to work closely with the client to achieve the desired end-product. Using the clothes is very meaningful, but not crucial. I also make photo quilts or quilts to honor a deceased pet. Each quilt is completed with custom quilting and labeling.
